Tea Time April 2020

In this bizarre reality that we are facing right now, the little things seem to go a very, very long way. I’ve started collecting joyful, interesting, or relatable links from different corners on the internet and thought I would start sharing them here if anyone else’s day could use a little boost.

Most of this content is best enjoyed with a cup of hot tea.

One of my favorite podcasts, Reply All, is full of great content, but I think this episode in particular about a song that has been wiped from the internet is one of the best they have produced.

This tweet left a smile on my face for quite some time. Watch with sound!

This article about sharks blew my mind. Did YOU know some sharks live to be 400+ years old?!

A very short and sweet story from Humans of New York that made me cry.

This podcast recommendation is a two-part series about Yellowstone’s wolf population. The first episode is from Criminal, and is about a crime committed against the park’s wolves. The second episode is from a sister series called This is Love. It’s a love story between the wolves as a result of the crime against them.

A little perspective and a sense of connection for Some People and a pandemic.

Curious about what nature is up to during a global crisis? Watch a sunrise halfway across the world, or check in on eagles nesting in Iowa. A lovely escape from reality and your couch.

Guaranteed to make you smile, John Krasinski has started his own weekly news station featuring good news only. Check out episodes one, two, and three.

A beautiful quarantine song by Benjamin Gibbard.

One of my favorite blogs, Cup of Jo, is a treasure chest of joy, ideas and encouragement, but I found this reader comment especially relatable. I always find myself asking close friends and family this question, especially during these days.

My family in California has been producing these “Quarantine Lockdown Video Blogs” with their kids every single day. Here’s one from day 11.

I’ve been using the Down Dog apps for yoga and HIIT workouts. They are extremely customizable and easy to do anywhere. Right now they're free for everyone until May 1st, and for health care workers, teachers, and students until July 1st.

What have you found that has piqued your interest or made you smile lately? Feel free to share. Keep hanging in there, we have so much to look forward to.
